the briefMartin Jenkins required a fitout to provide for future growth and development of the company and to reflect the quality and professionalism of the organisation.
the challengesThe main challenge to an office fitout requiring capacity for future growth is providing flexible, usable office space that does not look empty or only partially utilised when operating at its existing level below full capacity. A further challenge to this particular project was the discovery, during the design phase, of limitations to the existing base build services.
By providing clusters of straight desking, we were able to reduce costs over using an individual desk system. Staff have the ability to expand their desk area to allow full use of the available space and the ability to add extra staff down the track.
We provided added value to the existing building by reviewing the base build make good, including mechanical HVAC systems, in an effort to gain the most return for the Client on work undertaken by the building owner prior to the Martin Jenkins fitout.
The finished fitout provides an open plan communicative work environment, with the desking solution promoting staff interaction as well as flexibility for future growth. Small quiet rooms provide opportunity for staff to gain additional privacy as needed and provide for additional office space if required. Managers are dispersed around the floor to a create strong connection with teams and break up the floor into subtle team spaces.
