“We write to formally thank you in appreciation of the wonderful work the Workspace Architects team carried out for the fitout and relocation to our new premises in Wellington. Our offices have received many compliments from staff, clients, visitors and even contractors involved with the works. We are very pleased with the final result and the premises have been a morale boost to those of us fortunate to be based in this new office.”
Barry Sayer, CARDNO
the briefCARDNO approached us to consolidate their two distinct local offices into one tenancy, with a view to future growth and the opportunity to re-introduce the company brand to the local market place. Coming from heavily compartmentalised offices presented an opportunity to re-establish office dynamics and promote communication between staff.
We designed the main boardroom and staff break-out space with views over the harbour. The staff kitchen/break out area is a generous size to actively promote staff interaction and catered morning teas have become a regular occurrence. To ensure that the full floor is well lit and makes the most of the fantastic harbour views we designed several clever solutions – we used colour and texture to visually divide service areas from staff, instead of additional walls, and we designed glass walls and glazing film textures.
The new office is modern and vibrant providing plenty of space for the client to grow and expand without compromising the spacious feel. Our inventive design has enabled all staff to benefit from natural light and fantastic harbour views.
