who we are

our company

workspace architects is owned by three highly experienced architecture and interior design practitioners Claire Deacon, Ewan Dellow and Rob Sinclair. They also work day to day in the business as Directors of the Practice.

workspace architects was established in 1963 as KD Mitchell Architect and in 2003 became Workspace Vision Limited.

For the last 10 years, the Directors have focused on developing big building expertise alongside our interior works and we now have a large portfolio of multi-storey building refurbishment and seismic strengthening projects alongside our interior fitout projects.

In 2013 we became workspace architects as this name better reflects the technical expertise that we have across the commercial sector. We currently have a core staff of nine, including 4 Architects, 4 Senior Fit Out Specialists and 1 support staff.

With our office in Wellington CBD we are easily accessible to many of our core Clients. Our work is mainly in Wellington, however we have completed large scale projects from Invercargill to Auckland.

how we work

more than great design

To us, architecture is about the entire process - from asking the right questions to getting the squeaky door fixed after move in day. We take our clients on a journey so they feel as if they are part of the solution.

All our architects are members of the NZIA. Each year all members undergo continuing professional development to ensure skills and practices are completely up-to-date with current industry standards. As 'hand-on' architects we are trained to promote ourselves as the single point of contact for your project. An NZIA registered architect, with more than 20 years experience, will guide you through all stages of the project.
